Latest On the 38s
Latest advice from the factory is that the 38 class production run is now on the wharf in China waiting for shipping space.
Reports are that there are currently major delays with shipping in some areas of China but at this stage there do not appear to be any concerns for the Pearl River Delta which is where the ports that serve the factory of Eureka's manufacturer in Southern China are located.
As soon as we receive the shipping details we will put them up here on this website.
As a temptation for those who attend the Rosehill Exhibition, the factory forwarded by air, six cartons of 38s from the production run. These arrived on Friday the 16th and whilst not all engine variations produced in this re-run were included in the air shipment, there were samples of all main variations.
A total of eleven variations were represented in the air shipment and the usual inspection process immediately started speculation as to which variation would be the first to have the "Sold Out" notation entered against it on the web site.
The debate quickly came down to two contenders, Royal Train Pilot, 3807 and 3813 in Green with black smoke box, with 3807 the clear favorite to be the first to sell out.
Painting, or decoration as the factory calls it, on all of the variations is of an exceptionally high quality and the lining on 3807 is the finest I have ever seen and is a testimony to the skills of the paint shop.
Check it out for yourself at Rosehill.
